Coprolalia is the "go to" symptom most people associate with Tourettes, because it is often the butt of movie jokes (and most of us would like an excuse to tell people what we think and then blame in on an inability to filter) but it actually occurs in only a small sample of those diagnosed.

More common and obvious symptoms are compulsive behavior, impulsivity, hyperactivity, meaningless repetition of own words, nonsense word repetition, repetitive movements, muscle tics, difficulty with bodily movements, involuntary movements, involuntary contractions or jerking type spasms.

It can be fucking hilarious to watch though …….
