Brazil, A man identified as J.G, 59, died yesterday afternoon after he received a beating by a couple in the street.

According to locals J.G. had psychological problems but was well known in the city. His nickname bothered him, because he always reacted when people called him that and that would have been the reason for the confusion that ended in murder.

Someone would have provoked J.G, and he responded to the insult. A couple who were nearby went after him and beat him with punches and kicks. Even after he fell, J.G. was still hit by a kick to the head, was knocked out and was eventually rescued to a hospital but did not resist his injuries and died shortly afterwards.

On social media, residents said that José Gomes was seen as a folk figure in the city. The identity of the couple who beat the victim has not been released to date. The Civil Police will investigate the case.
