A man was murdered in cold blood in a public street in Colombia, in the department of Valle del Cauca.

The crime, which was captured on video has caused shock due to the violence with which it was carried out.

The footage shows a woman calling out to the man from the sidewalk. Seconds later, a man approaches her and, without saying a word, shoots him from very close range.

The attacker, who according to witnesses appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, pulled out a firearm and opened fire directly at the victim.

Several bystanders tried to assist the injured man. Two men carrying him into a vehicle to take him to a medical center, but he no longer showed vital signs.

The Police have already launched an investigation to determine the whereabouts of the assailant and whether there was any connection between the woman who called the victim and the shooter.

So far, no official information has been released regarding any arrests or progress in the case.
