Man Killed In Fire/Tire Explosion
The truck driver died after the vehicle caught fire early this Friday morning, 12/11, in Rio Grande, in the south of the state. The case took place on BR-392, near the Vila Quinta region, at around 7 am. According to the fire department, the driver was traveling south, towards Rio Grande, when a fire broke out in the trailer's brakes. He tried to contain the flames and was under the truck when the tire exploded, according to information from the Federal Highway Police. With that, the man was trapped, being hit by the flames. |

The Holy Grail would be an idiot gawker slowing to a crawl to look just as the pre-heated fuel tank exploded engulfing the gawker in a wave of flaming fuel. If you look just before the explosion, the lady driving by has her hand up to her face (masked!) with the typical female "oh my God!" gesture as she sees the guys top half being incinerated. I haven't seen a flaming truck on a multi lane highway for years, but I don't think Americans would drive by it. I would pull over and not pass it, who knows what the cargo is, might explode like that pre-heated fuel tanker we saw on DR that exploded like a tactical nuke... |
