This is a very interesting video. No gore really, but it really paints a good picture of how things can escalate out of control and what signs you need to heed in situations like this to escape with your life.

Not gore, but related information that justifies the murder charge for the father. Per county court records, The father is a prior-convicted felon (which obviously prohibits the legal possession of a firearm), with a history of violence. This is the son's first conviction. |

They both seemed itching to shoot someone. From the fact they took the mattress from the dumpster to instigate the confrontation, to them both having guns for some reason despite the other guy being unarmed. It’s a little much. I know there’s a lot to this video that the impending court case will uncover, and that will shed more light on how justified they were in doing this. It’s clear the victim had BAD anger issues and an inability to cut his losses when he was clearly outmatched, but I’m not sure that it warranted his death when it was clear he was unarmed the entire time. He should have never fucking accepted that bat though. It gave them just the excuse they seemed to be looking for.

Convicted felons can have their rights restored. I'm pretty sure this guy didn't pay a lawyer $8,000 to pursue that process, though, even if he was eligible. Just call it a hunch.  Also, to anyone annoyed that these guys are being presented by some as "typical Americans", consider that most of the Brazilian videos on this site involve people occupying the same sort of socioeconomic niche. |
