MFDB - I agree with you on the thought of keeping distance. Same applies in any conflict, whether it's hand to hand or with ANY weapon. Do NOT let the threat close enough to make contact. It's either strike or backpedal at that point. Personally, I would have retreated to the house, locked the door, armed myself and called the police. If he kicks the door in, then I don't have a choice. Confronting someone who is out of his mind angry is only going to end up as this did. I'm a gun owner who prays he never has to use it. There are others who pray for the opportunity to use it. |

Negative. I do believe he told him he would take the gun and fuck him with it. Or something close to those lines. Regardless, this is a tough one to call. I think he should have stepped away after the warning and put one in his foot, knee or leg. Any or a combo will take the fight right out of someone. Sadly there are those that have a strong desire to just shoot someone. Regardless of reason. Ridiculous. |
