That hitman or whatever he was took it from two other people with guns. There is another customer in the background that fires a shot striking the original shooter just as the wounded customer is returning fire.

Not to mention the hitman catches a ton of falling broken glass from the shattered window right across the upper legs where two major arteries are.

So, the guy that shot first was an shooting instructor... He executed the first victim. A police officer tried to arrest the instructor, but ended up being shot. Unfortunately, the first victim and the police officer didn't survived.
