The official doing CPR asked if anyone knew him. They ALL immediately responded, “We don’t know him.” THAT is why they don’t get involved. It’s totally understandable that they don’t want to get in trouble. China isn’t like the West for better or worse.

On another note, that guy is dead and he knows it. He will be executed in a few months, not years like the West. For clear-cut incidents like this, justice is usually very swift in China.
