Re: Man Crying Over His Dead Brother Gets Destroyed by Vehicle
That truck definitely sped up....no way you don't see two people in the road, one wearing a white shirt.....messed up. Being on this site solidifies my choice to just not get involved with anyone. People= drama and potential murder

Re: Man Crying Over His Dead Brother Gets Destroyed by Vehicle
Thank you for your thoughtful reply. You accurately address the matter within the context of the traditional western conception of God who is, by definition, omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent, and omnipresent. (Some even try to define Him into existence via the Ontological Argument.) There are other notions of god and gods abroad, however, which do not require the candidate to be benevolent, and allow him/her/it to enjoy the sufferings of others and to inflict some of them as well. It is such a deity that I had in mind. We could, of course, segue to the Euthyphro Dilemma where one of the positions is that the good (technically, piety), by definition, is what the gods love, in which case our notions of what is or is not moral don't get traction. |
