I always post on Indian videos and try to put a neutral perspective of the incidents.Just read the comments and I m tempted to clear some gross misrepresentation of culture here.I have lived and traveled all over India.So here are some facts on Sikhs today :
1) No one to defend in this video but there are repeated incidents of "Sacrilage" that have happened in recent years and history of religious suffering in the hands of other communities could be a real reason for the violence and outrage.
Unlike Muslim, Sikhs generally dont have the concepts of Jihad or have religious justification for killing unbelievers ect.They probably just ran out of patience to tolerate people invading their religious places and desecrate their holy book.
2) Sikhs are a warriors tribe and were an offshoot of Hinduism and primarily came into existence to defend India's western border ( Province/State of Punjab from the Islamic Invasion into India.
Sikhs have seen the onslaught of violent Islam ( 8th century onwards) and were in perpetual wars with various Muslim Invaders who killed their gurus and their childrens and family members ect with unimaginable torture and brutalization .Sikhs have virtually sacrificed themselves over and over again for their own existence so their History is really painful.
3) Check for Banda Singh Bahadur , one of the greatest real revenge story you would come across.
4) Its difficult to comprehend but sikhism with all their brutal past majorly believe and teaches in serving people and stand against injustice and thats really 95 % Indian Sikhs.
5) Thousands of sikhs were killed during the Partition of Punjab during 1947 some of the survivors are still around .They have participated in Second world war in Europe for the British India.
6) Long story short you probably should not make up your mind about entire Sikh community as bad just looking at this video or at least without knowing the context.
