Pretty sure it’s just an exclamation they shout. Same way in English someone might yell “Good God!”, “Jesus Christ!”, “Lord have mercy!” Even though they are very obviously not praising the Lord at that moment.

Something so simple, yet so hard to understand organically till someone points it out. Never even realized “god is great” is the equivalent of “oh my god”. Which I say often, even though I don’t believe in a supreme being. Thanks for the insight . |

4 Contract Workers At Pangkalan TLDM Lumut Crashed, Car Caught Fire At WCE Four men collapsed after their car plunged into a drain before catching fire at Kilometer (KM) 220 of the West Coast Highway (WCE) northbound near here, on Monday. In the incident near the Changkat Cermin exit at 5.11pm, another 54-year-old victim from Ipoh suffered serious injuries. The victim who survived was identified as Shariff Mohammed Sidek Mohammed, whose address is in Taman Mas Baru, Chemor. Director of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Sayani Saidon said based on initial information, all of them were on their way back to Ipoh after finishing work in Lumut. "The fire has destroyed about 95 percent of the Proton Saga. In the incident, four victims died while one survivor was seriously injured. All of them are contract workers at the Royal Malaysian Navy Base (RLDM) Lumut and are on their way back to Ipoh," he said on Monday. According to him, firefighting and rescue operations were carried out by a team of officers and members from Sitiawan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), and assisted by BBP Ayer Tawar. Meanwhile, Manjung District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamed Nordin Abdullah when contacted confirmed the incident. "All the victims were taken to Seri Manjung Hospital for further action," he said. According to Mohamed Nordin, the deceased was the driver of the car, a 56-year-old Chinese man, the front passenger, a 50-year-old Indian man, and the rear passengers, two Chinese men aged 45 and 53, respectively, who died at the scene. He said, the accident happened after the driver lost control so that the car skidded and hit the road barrier and went into the drain on the left shoulder of the road before catching fire. He said the case was investigated in accordance with Section 41(I) of the Road Transport Act 1987. He also asked the public with information related to the incident to come forward to assist the investigation by contacting Traffic Investigation Officer Inspector Lily Suryana Roslaili on 013-655 9693.
