Three gunmen were arrested after killing a 33-year-old man, L.G.W.A., and a 25-year-old man, C.G.B.M. The double homicide was registered after 6.20pm outside a lottery shop in Limón, Costa Rica.

Apparently, L. was leaving the lottery shop when he received several bullet wounds from a rifle. C., who had no known relationship with L. and who was, according to his sister, out getting pet food, was also hit by several projectiles. A man who was with L. was hit in the leg several times, and was taken to hospital.

After the attack, the criminals fled, but after 400m they ran into a sting operation. One of the subjects on the motorcycle escaped, but the three others - identified as 19-year-old Z., 22-year-old H., and 19-year-old V. - were apprehended.

It is presumed the motive was due to a territorial dispute over the sale of drugs.

My fiancé and I just recently traveled to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica which is about an hour south of Límon.. beautiful country and all, but we had our car broken into, which our phones and wallets were in.. so while 4 hours away from the main airport, we had no navigation and the video that was taken of me proposing to my fiancé was lost.. South America continues to maintain a great representation of itself…

The other gunman already fled, this one decides to kill someone unrelated to their...assignment.
