I hope that all of you condemning this guy, and rightfully so, are not the same people I see 5 nights a week on the road, texting or surfing the net on your fuckin dumb phones. It's amazing what I can see sitting up in the cab of my truck. |

On the spot £1000 fines, no if's no buts if caught using your mobile in the car/lorry....Would not make any difference to a lot of these idiots, they are still going to text/call, check facebook status...Taking their £400 + mobiles of them at the road side, and handing them the sim....boy would that not go down well  |

A mistake? A "mistake" is over cooking a steak or painting a room the wrong color, killing innocent people because you made the conscious decision to play with your phone while driving a 40+ TON vehicle that is careening down the fucking highway going 65 MPH, is NOT a mistake! He knew the dangers of the truck he was responsible for! He made the decision to play with his phone instead of paying attention! Now children and people are dead, loved ones families are destroyed because he didn't really like the song that was paying on his phone and THAT was important enough to kill people over! You can see in the video, way back when he glances up he just kept going, even though traffi. Was obviously stopped! This asshole looks back down and doesn't even give it two thoughts because this damn phone was more important then being aware of where is 40 TON truck was speeding to.  |

Wow thank you for that info. I am amazed. It looks like all 3 vehicles were pulverized. It's a miracle anyone survived. At least the mother and both children were killed pretty instantly, it seems. I couldn't imagine, being a mom, loosing my children in something like this and I walked away. I wouldn't be able to continue. I feel terrible for the families involved and just hope they can take some comfort in knowing it was pretty fast, hopefully and that this asshole got some kind of justice. Even if it's not the prison term they probably wanted, at least it's something. My heart goes out to them.
