Re: Look Close.

Thanks man, it is people like you that make it worthwhile to put up with people who think 9/11 should be swept under the rug, or forgotten about all together. I have a scanner ordered, after that I can convert them to a digital format.
Please don't disappear. Make sure you do post them. I was looking all over the place for them and could barely find anything.

We demand to look at these things; 9/11 had an effect on all of us. I was 14 when it happened and honestly didn't really give a fuck and didn't watch the news (in-fact, I was mad they interrupted VH1 that morning). Now, I get the creeps whenever I look at something from there (Edna Cintron anyone?). Feel very bad...

How did you get close to take any pictures? Security didn't get in your way? Was it a good camera for 2001?

Sounds great, looking forward to that. 9/11 should never be swept under a rug, reality is reality, no mater what we do it's always going to be there. And I think it's important to talk about 9/11, so other people can understand what happened that day.

Thanks for all your contributions, they are really interesting and appreciated.

Re: Look Close.

Why would that be weird ? That is what this place is for, to show things you were always curious about but society tries to keep swept under the rug.
Exactly, however many people feel that viewing this type of material as offensive, demeaning or dare I say evil? There are many members of our society who can't accept the fact that some people are curious of these things because they never have to experience. I have seen things I wish I could forget, but never will because of my time in the Marines. The average "moral do-gooder" See these sites as depraved smut for sociopaths and serial killers etc, and not for the curious people trying to see things for how they really are.

I understand 100% man. I'd say you have seen some horrible stuff in the Marines, and thanks for your service. People like you are the reason we can have sites like this.

Are you serious ? Ok, a man jumped from the Southwest corner of the North Tower on 9/11. He came down at around 145 mph and hit a metal handrail next to the Marriot Hotel.

His body hit with so much force that it atomized his blood, forcing it to come out in a red mist. Every jumper I saw that day did the same thing, no matter what they hit. Concrete, blacktop, the awning covering the VIP driveway, doesn't matter. They all exploded on impact, and their blood came out in a mist.

Me too. Imagine falling for 10 seconds, and the ground just keeps getting closer and closer. I have often wondered what their thoughts were just before impact.

I hope they were too shocked / unconscious from the smoke to realize what was going on.

BTW, how is that scanner coming along?
