Re: Little Girl Films Dad Drowning
Same. I stepped into the sea in Spain once and the bottom just dropped away. As I went down, instead of getting a lung full of air I got water. Which straight away meant I was negatively buoyant compared to jumping in with full lungs. I’m not kidding when I say I was literally 2 feet away from the sand. I literally stepped into the water fully expecting to walk out to at least waist deep. But it went from being up to my knees to suddenly straight over my head. Fuck knows how it got so deep. I know it happens but I truly didn’t expect it and that’s what almost killed me. It took my last ounce of energy to kick myself back to the beach. I literally kicked hard as I can and just managed to reach the sand. I dragged myself out dug a hole a sicked up a ton of water. I’m a scuba diver and I can tell you. On that occasion another foot and I’d have been dead because as I’d not had a chance to breath in as I went under. Straight away my lungs were screaming and I was desperate for air almost instantly. Still common sense would say don’t jump in a deep pool of you can’t swim. Well I can swim and yet that day I almost died only literally under two feet from the shore. I truly believe had I not had presence of mind to just kick for everything I had I’d have died there and then. |

Re: Little Girl Films Dad Drowning
me and a friend thought it would be a good idea to jump off a 40foot bluff into the duck river and swim across then swim back.....well, i shoulda took more time to rest on the other side, before coming back...we know the rest....barely made it. |
