I'm pretty sure that's wrong. The burden of proof always rests with the prosecution. It's now up to the state (and possibly the Feds, if they choose to bring charges) to prove that KR *wasn't* acting in self-defense and/or employed a disproportionate amount of force given the situation and the threat.

The USA is ranked number 10 in all firearm-related deaths per 100,000 people. Please also note, 2 out of every 3 firearm-related deaths are due to suicide. 2/3 of all of them are suicide, which you could say is a problem, but America hardly has a problem with firearms given the amount we have. Your logic is one of more guns equals more death, if that were true our firearm death rate would astronomical. |
