The identity of the victims have been released:

The guy in the garage was Joseph Rosembaum, 36, registered child molester.

The second one was Anthony Huber, 26, convicted domestic abuser - repeat offender.

The injured guy was Gaige Grosskrautz, 26, convicted of an illegal weapons charge previously... had a gun during the encounter.

Not exactly paragons of virtue. I bet it's more likely they were out there looking to fuck shit up and cause trouble than truly trying to help people. Well, trouble found them. I'll let the legal system sort out the merits of their outcome.

Old boy only shot about 5 rounds. I'd say he was in more control than the average shooter. Also it doesn't matter if you agree with his actions or not. He's 17 with a rifle that the law requires you be 21 to purchase or own. He crossed state lines armed as a minor with someone else's car and someone else's rifle. Whoever that someone else is they're gonna be crucified in court.
You just contradicted yourself in your own post. Being 17 doesn't magically absolve you of criminal negligence and it takes someone with the motive to grab a rifle, combat gear and march through a unstable area.

Actually I didn't. I pointed out that the 17 year old was in the wrong. I don't know how you got absolve from that. He's just not gonna go down alone. That's all I was getting at. Kid is screwed, the law is not on his side of this.
