The police were called because she was walking in the street with her kids, with the knife, it’s obvious she was looking for a confrontation with police.

It’s almost like she wanted to suicide by cop but also try to go down as a victim.

Sorry dude, but what the hell are the cops supposed to do in a situation like that? She almost ran that cop down with that knife before his partner shot her. No doubt she would have stabbed him as aggressively as she was going after him. What if someone close to you in your family was that cop and she stabbed him to death. Or what if that crazy bitch was chasing you with that knife. You would be begging the cops to shoot her before she sliced and diced you. Also, the Officer wants to go home to his family to and his kids want to see him come home. Get some some common sense.

You live in a fantasy land. Easy to say that but in reality no it does not work that way. I am a former police officer. One day myself and another officer were trying to subdue a drug crazed 15 yr old girl. Her parents had called the police because she was out of control. When we arrived she was screaming and acting just like this woman. We tried to calm her down but she was having none of it and picked up a lamp stand and came at us with it. We were able to tackle her and take her to the ground at which time she pulled a box cutter out of her clothing. We both saw it and warned each other, however of we thought that we could wrestle the box cutter from her. We were wrong and it cost me 88 stitches, and sliced tendons in my wrist in which I now have 24 yrs later only 70% use of my hand which is good considering how bad my wrist was cut. I also received another 100 stitches where she cut me from my armpit to my hip. That cut was superficial but bad. I had to make a tourniquet out of my belt to keep me from bleeding to death. My partner was cut across deep across his face (Cheek), shoulder and arm and she severed part of his ear. So to say she was able to escape, but was later caught that night. I would have rathered her to have pulled out a gun. From the time she pulled out the box cutter until the time she ran out the door was about 30 seconds. That is how long it took her to slice and dice us. It would have been deadlier had she pulled a knife. I found out the hard way how deadly and uncontrollable a knife is. You just don't charge and wrestle a knife welding person to the ground. This is not Hollywood.

I am a former cop from other country. Had we have same situation like this in my country where I came from we could be easily been prosecuted for why we didn't use other way to neutralize her first and if there is no other way then we could use shotgun. As a cops and for not killing people in such simple situations we used to wrestling paractises one's per week just for not taking people's life like this. She was a mom of two at least, what these kids going to think about those two cops when they grow up
