That was a really bad call on her part to escalate the situation and expose her kids to that. Now she is dead and her kids are scarred for life. If she just wanted to die she could at least do it without her kids having full view of it. God, those toddlers must have really been traumatised.

Bad call from an insane person- not sure she is capable of reason, right? It’s horrible for the kids—- but (this might be unpopular) — she was so delusional and unstable she might have done something unthinkable to her kids in the future?

I’m pretty sure her “maternal instincts” are whack. She’s not thinking about her kids at all she’s completely self absorbed. This is extreme mental illness — the cops were gentle and posed no threat. It also seems like she was sort of dragging the kids down the street at first which is maybe why somebody called the cops in the first place.

I think this is the second clip I’ve seen today where a mentally ill person with a knife started charging the cops AFTER They tried to tase him. Possibly tasing is a bad idea for schizophrenics?

You cant expect law enforcement to play the role of clinical psychologist and peace keeper at the same time when interactions like these can escalate in the blink of an eye. These officers were probably thinking the same thing we were, shes crazy or on drugs, her aggression was directed at them and not the children which gave them time to try and talk her down and go less lethal...

When you charge a cop with shit in your hands and they decide to go less lethal first you should take that as a blessing because if you decide to keep going they're not going to go "okay time for 'lesser' lethal!"

Maybe the cops could deploy bat nets and wrap the offenders up so they cant move. Maybe they could tow swimming pools around with sharks in then when they throw the offenders in the tank the cops can use bat shark repellant to capture the offender.
