Did you even watch the video? Not only did they ask her many times, to put the knife down and said they weren't going to hurt her kids, but they even gave ground and used less lethal. Get your head outta your ass.

Would you just let her walk away with a knife with her kids? She accused a random cop who was just responding to a call, of hurting her babies when he had no idea who they were. What if someone talks to her little kids just to be friendly and she pulled a knife on them? You're living in a fantasy land for a former cop.

You tell that me you've dealt with a comparable situation in which no one got hurt and I might believe you but even then everyone is different and what worked with your person, if you had one, might not have with her.

You said not one word about her pulling out a knife, without hesitation, with her kids around, to cops who were making inquiries. And then she puts them in danger of becoming a backstop to live fire and you have nothing to say. Are you fine with her parenting this way? Who's to say what she's done around them before.

Also as an EMT for "12 years" you should by now have the experience and wisdom to know that first responders don’t ask why.... except for investigation purposes and EMTs aren’t trained to do that. That falls to Cops, Fire Investigators, OMI investigators and on the rare occasion Paramedics.

The idea that you are asking why the way you are makes me think you may have attended an EMT-b course 12 years ago maybe did some volunteer fire department work maybe even drove an ambulance because that’s primarily what EMT Bs do but have no real hard experience in the field.

Even if we ignore the fact that two grown ass policemen, couldn't take down one woman without putting bullets in her, what type of situational awareness do those idiots have?
