No online links, but that is the official policy of Pasadena Gun Center (where they had several suicides), Shiloh Gun Range, Marksman Indoor Range.

After getting sued several times by the families (especially when one case the Violin Master's Student rented a pistol and went back inside to the counter and asked how do you load the pistol since she loaded the ammo backwards in the magazine. The counter monkey loaded the pistol properly and she went back to the line. She blew her brains on the line and there was a CHL class next to he. No one notices till closing when the guys went to sweep the line and found the body). The thinking is that if an unknown person comes in with a handgun, they will not rent to them due to possiblity of suicide. If they came with a person or a handgun, they will rent. Know another range who is involved in a lawsuit where a rented Ruger blew up in the renter's hands. Too much liability and lawsuit happy people lately. |
