Re: Killing Himself with a Headshot at the Gun Range
Here in Hungary (where I live) is extremely difficult to obtain legally a handgun for a civilian (to get a licence for carrying for self-defense is practically impossible). This quick method of suicide can be done mostly this way as we can see on the video (unless you are a soldier, policeman or hunter - or maybe a qualified competition shooter).

Re: Killing Himself with a Headshot at the Gun Range
Where is around here? Since I own a gun shop and range and am a member of the very single organization having to do with the firearms industry, get alerts from around the entire country about everything from ND injuries to burglaries to suicides and every other investigated event that gets reported. I would really like to know where you are talking about. Suicide on gun ranges is extremely rare, ND injuries are also extremely rare especially on ranges that have Un intrusive range officers. That’s why the insurance isn’t as high as it could be. Could you imagine how much it would cost to insure a suicide mill? No body would be open.

Re: Killing Himself with a Headshot at the Gun Range
Don't know where that guy is but most ranges where I am (SE PA) will not rent to an individual arriving without a personal gun. Here is the policy at my closest one: Firearm Rental Please note. Our rental policy only allows us to rent to a party of two (2) or more people or; individuals that have their own firearms with them. You must be 21 years old to rent a handgun. Long gun rentals require an individual to be 18 years old. |

Re: Killing Himself with a Headshot at the Gun Range
Yes for rentals I have seen that even in our area. One of the other ranges in my area has that policy for rentals. The owner and I share a lot of customers and he told me he does it that way because it makes it easier to keep track of the rentals. I honestly don’t understand that but he thinks if 10 guys rent and they are all alone on of them can slip out faster than two of them with a rental. To me that makes no sense because I have an ID of the responsible person who rents the gun. So I’m not saying that’s unheard of but I really don’t believe it’s an anti suicide thing.
