I think part of the reason why modern society has become so polarized is because we are naturally pack animals, and this has always manifested itself in humans as tribalism. But since the dawn of political correctness and uber-woke ideology we have been taught that tribalism is wrong.

In the UK if you fly a Union Jack in your front garden or, God forbid, a George cross you will undoubtably get a visit from the police. You may even be arrested under hate crime laws. Kids growing up today tend less to hang around in groups but instead congregate on social media so they do not have those strong bonds to a group like my generation did when growing up. When I was young almost all of my friends went to Lads clubs where we played team sports and we were taught to box. That hardly exists now in the UK.

The nature of employment has changed also in the digital age which means more jobs exist where the only interaction with colleagues is done via a computer screen.

This, to me, is why many adults today yearn to belong to a group of some sort and politics gives them that possibility. Add some testosterone into the mix and it creates a very fucking dangerous environment.

Interesting take. I think it’s because women abandoned their traditional familial roles that have been the same for 10,000 years and now angry boys are being raised by tik tok and each other instead of by parents.
