Why was he walking about with a pellet gun? What the fuck was he looking at on the shelf for 20 minutes? Why did the cops shoot him without any communication or even him holding his "weapon" in an aggressive matter? Just wtf?

Any word what's happening with the Justice Dept's Federal investigation? Last I heard, the decision was extended to the 6th or 9th of March '15 which has now passed without a word. I can't find much on the net besides a student demonstration on March 2. Anyone know what's happening?

Obviously a failure of common sense.. I did something similar when I was 11. I was drawn down on by three cops while a fourth in plain cloths tackled me. I knew right away when my jaw hit the ground that I was a dumbass... But then again I was in the open, and a kid not a grown fucking main in a wal-mart!!! DUMBASS!

For fucks sake!! Even if the police hadn't shot him someone from his own neighborhood eventually would have. All the police did was save us tax payers some money. If the kid had any common sense at all he'd of known better than to walk around a store with any kind of gun in his hand. Dumb shit.

Can't some of you see what's going on in the vid? His mind is miles away on his phone. I'm sure you all see this every day with people oblivious to their surroundings. I darned near run over a guy that walked right in front of me from the median in the road a few days ago totally burried in his phone call. Under the same circumstances, would you have responded to a command or even had any idea that you were being engaged? The cops fired on him in less then a half a second primarily because of the "actionalble intelligence" provided by that lying POS on his cell phone. Police militaristic, urban warfare type training and a lying sack of shit about him threatening customers on the telephone got this guy killed combined with a total lack of situational awareness.

Can't fault the police for doing what they did based on current rules of engagement, as far as the bb gun, forget it was bb gun, it could have been a rifle from the toy department and they still would have fired on him. The police will have qualified immunity if they followed procedure.

The store is the deep pockets that the lawyers are angling for even though it might have been a breach of policy, but not uncommon. Even here. Not all stores lock up bb and pellet guns except the display models. Boxed ones can still be found on the shelves.

The real culprit is the racist bastard on the cell phone that stirred up this perfect storm that got two people killed.
