Well that was an example of the death penalty actually. But you are still wrong. Innocent people get executed regularly. There's lots of data to show that between 4% to 5% of people on death row are innocent, and a much larger % are mentally handicapped. I'd say that's a good enough reason to stop executing people. 1)mentally handicapped? moot point. people committing heinous violent crimes need to be erased, period, end of story.
2)there have perhaps in history a few people on death row who may be innocent via some legal technicalities(such as evidence being used in court even though it should technically be deemed "inadmissable" because an arresting officer slurred one word of the Miranda rights, or perhaps a lab technician collected brain tissue off of the perp's carpet 5 minutes before a warrant was officially signed), but i(and hundreds of millions of other rational world inhabitants) don't lose any sleep over the thugs on death row, not one fucking second. stop giving canada a bad name with your bleeding heart foolishness.
