Italy: 14 Dead After Cable Car Plunges to the Ground Near Mottarone Summit
A cable car taking visitors to a mountaintop view of some of northern Italy's most picturesque lakes plunged to the ground on Sunday, killing 14 people and sending two children to the hospital.

Wow, the physics of the snap of the tow cable is amazing. As the tow cable at the upper side of the cabin snaps, the still attached tow cable at the bottom side of the cabin pulls it down with its full weight. Crazy how the cabin is dragged down by it. Plenty of time for the passengers to realise whats happening, horrible.  |

Not luck. The engineer and wonders disabled malfunctioning emergency brake because they didn’t want to invest in fixing it after being close for COVID
