Running into a gas turbine module is not a good idea.. Im quite familiar with the LM 2500 gas turbine modules myself.. Those run the US NAVY's fleet. Every ship except nukes and ballistic missile boats run on gas turbine..

Minesweepers and mine countermeasure boats (bird boats) are diesel propulsion... so not everything is gas turbine
So, I have a question. I thought anyone that was unlucky enough to encounter that very situation gets sucked in and exits the back as a soup. Why does it appear that he was sucked and then spit out like that?

Theres a plenum in the front of the turbine that kinda helps with some FOD.. He probably bent the 1st and 2nd stage of the turbine when he jumped in.. That was enough to cause the turbine to seize and it didn't suck him in
