I heard China is using forced sterilisation, forced adoption and 'coercive family planning' methods against their own Uighur Muslim minorities. I remember they had some real problems with that population some years ago, even threats of terrorism and jihad from ISIS in the far flung east. But now, as is typical of one party rule, everything there been censored and whitewashed. China called their bluff. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if their entire history gets erased. No doubt in my mind mosques are being bulldozed to make way for more factories filled with cheap labour. The practices must be working, because the natural population growth rate in the autonomous territory of Xinjiang has fallen dramatically; by 84% inside their two largest Uighur prefectures between 2015 and 2018. This according to recently released Chinese government records. Obviously Xi Jinping and his legion of loyal Maoists has seen Islam as a visible threat to their own overall stability and national security. |
