Iraqi Man Who Jumped From Dam Does Not Get Rescued
Kut, Iraq A young man committed suicide by jumping from the top of the Kut Dam on the Tigris River, despite repeated attempts by patrols to persuade him not to jump. After he jumped, a boat arrived at the scene in an attempt to rescue him. However, the boat was operated by patrols tasked with preventing illegal fishing, not by dedicated river rescue or diving teams. One of the men on the boat ended up falling into the river himself, and while he managed to swim to a tyre buoy to keep himself afloat, the suicidal man fell under. The provincial police chief has ordered an investigative committee to identify any potential shortcomings or negligence. |

I’ll bet his name is Bob.  They could have rescued him easily enough but were incompetent for the task. They’re working on the water and have no clue how to even swim. Great team of boat guys.    |

Sorry but they thew a tire, the last thing you want to do when someone is struggling like that is get close to them and let them try to grab and climb on top of you in their panic and drown you too. He FAFA!.

It’s always sad when human life is lost. He decided to jump in and later changed his mind. The rescuers were incompetent to many, but they will have to live with some guilt. Everybody loses
