I have worked on swing stages extensively and it's not for the faint of heart. I don't know what kind of training those guys had but they should've been lowering the swing stage as soon as they saw winds coming and continued to do so until they got down. And we never ever got on the scaffolding without a safety harness on. Also as a few other people have pointed out that if they couldn't move the stage they should've gone to the center of the stage to reduce their chances of being thrown out. Unfortunately these guys learned the hard way that safety always has to come first. Sad..... watching this video made my skin crawl. When I first started in construction I was terrified of heights. But I overcame my fear and became a highrise hero    |

The sound effects made the video. I even heard a little “boop” when the first guy hit the ground and a soft prayer for the second guy as he is hurdling to his death. Just great shit!
