Afganistan, in the early '70s, was a peaceful progressive nation... the area really got fucked up after the US and Soviets fought a proxy war there. The superpowers changed the entire culture of the people there. After meddling in Iranian internal politics in the '50s, and engineering a coup there, is it any wonder they don't care for the US? Merry old England is mostly responsible for the mess in Isreal/Palestine, and were the authors of the mess in India/Pakistan, so you see, while we here in the west have lived good lives and enjoyed a great standard of living, it's been at the cost of other people's standards, and maybe their being so fucked up isn't thier own fault.... maybe... just sayin', but hey, I could be wrong.
