It's not USG official, and in all likelihood staged. The guy in the vid was in some Afghan prison after sneaking into Afghan after 9/11, claiming he was a Green Beret(ODA). He was special forces, but he did admin shit and work on computers, no field work(Not ODA). He was released and sent back to the U.S. Where I think he was brought up on charges and deemed a looney. Most of the shit he says he did is a lie...like he lead thousands of Afghan fighters in the Hindu Kush...by himself. He was in a Journeyman documentery awhile back when he was in the prison I think. If your lucky it might be on youtube still.

It's a tough issue to pick sides for. Both sides have valid arguments about torture. It's the type of thing that will sometimes yield real answers, and other times will yield lies just to stop the torture. I don't think there is anyway around it.
