Helicopters are complex machine that experience serious stress in many part of their design. It's also the kind of machine that catastrophically fail if 1 thing gives up, unlike planes who can lose parts of their fuselage and sometime multiple engines and still be able to land. In a chopper 1 thing fail and everyone die without a change. You shouldn't even fly on a good well maintained helicopter with a trained pilot if you don't have. Flying your own homemade helicopter, should never be part of any sane person thought process. |

I’ve seen you complain about this more than once, so I thought I’d address your question directly. Threads are stickied for various reasons, some of which may not be obvious to you. It could be due to geographic location, unique subject matter, manner of death, quality of footage, or simply because it’s a slow week.  It’s fine to question or complain about content or sticky choices, but the best way to handle your concern is to report the post or PM a moderator directly. What is not permitted is trolling or taking shots at contributors over subjective opinions or sticky decisions beyond their control. That only discourages people from posting content, which is the backbone of the site. Thank you.

I thought it was pretty cool for a homemade jalopy ride. How many failures did the Wright Bros have before success? It looked like the only safety equipment was the seatbelt. That's a sticky little job, but I think whoever takes up the mantle after him will certainly make safety a higher priority.
