A body, found hanging from a tree next to a forest road, was discovered by a Zhejiang motorcycle off-road team.

This secondary dissemination of the images was accompanied by escalating narratives: some claimed "a second rope in the tree," others said "drag marks underfoot," and even a false version emerged suggesting a "failed robbery."

Police warn that any details not verified by authoritative sources could cause further harm to the deceased and their family, and also disrupt the investigation process.

The on-site investigation revealed no obvious signs of a struggle near the body. The shape of the fallen leaves under the feet was consistent with the activity of a single person.

The knot was a common fixed loop, and its height matched that of nearby tree branches.

There were no signs of external cutting at the break point. The footprints on the ground overlapped with the one-way footprints on the mountain path, and no evidence of a second person staying there for an extended period was detected.

Police retrieved surveillance footage from the trailhead and along the route, combined with mobile phone communication and mobile payment records, to determine the timeline of the deceased's solo entry into the mountain.

The family confirmed that the deceased had recently exhibited significant emotional fluctuations and left a brief message.

Based on the comprehensive physical evidence, witness testimony, and electronic data, homicide has been preliminarily ruled out; the final conclusion will be subject to forensic examination.

Off-road enthusiasts are not investigators. When a suspected body is found, the bottom line is "call immediately, wait on the spot, and do not touch it."

The team leader should record the emergency contact person, the nearest uphill pass, the nearest evacuation point, and keep a first-aid kit and reflective strips readily available to ensure they do not become trapped again.
