On another note, a woman that raised a large Burmese Python went into a pet store concerned because it hadn’t been eating. She was asked about any other strange behavior and she said the snake would lay straight beside her when she spent time with it. The exotic pet expert had to explain the snake was preparing itself to eat her and was sizing her up and was keeping its stomach prepared for the larger prey. Her. True story.

That’s CRAZY!!! But definitely understandable. Reptiles don’t seem to form any emotional attachment to their caretakers. They will eat you when they are big enough.

Death by suffocation from constricting coils around me, knowing you're going to be eaten afterward, isn't my first choice of a way to die. I suppose it's better than burning to death, but not by much.
