The Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday arrested a woman in Shahjahanpur for allegedly crushing her husband’s head with a brick following a dispute over lunch. The victim, identified as Satyapal, 40, was employed as a watchman on contract at a stadium.

When the police arrived, they found the woman sitting on the body, hitting the skull with a brick, and discarding parts of the skull. The murder occurred in full public view. The police said the relatives of the accused Gayatri Devi, 37, claimed she was mentally ill but were unable to provide any medical documentation. She was arrested on murder charges.

Satyapal had been married for more than 18 years. He was a habitual drinker and used to quarrel with his wife. Their children lived with their grandmother in a house located some distance away.

For those wondering how the arm twitch happened, I don't think it was because she was digging in her husband's skull and touching a nerve that caused it.

She was straddling him with her knees near his shoulder. When she shifted her weight, her knee put pressure on the husband's shoulder and caused the arm to flop up.
