what the fuck is she standing on? I don't squat enough to know if poorly-placed, uneven, rickety styrofoam gym mats are what you should balance yourself on - but I can guess probably not

When she first took the load, she shifted her right foot back, which stepped off the mat tower down to a lower elevation, and started backward lean with nothing to counter the momentum. As the momentum continued, her left foot buckled rearward off the mat tower and forced her sudden fall. I think that fall/death could have been prevented if the equipment had been properly set.  · |

You should never step on or off of any platform with that much weight on your shoulders. She should be in a squatting "cage" when attempting to lift that much weight.

Far too much weight she folded the moment they put the weight fully on her to hold.
