Of course it’s Uttar Pradesh. Why did he do it in front of his child, now they are traumatised. How selfish, I feel so badly for that child. There is a huge suicide epidemic amongst the poor in India because there really is no opportunities. 171,000 suicides were recorded in the country in 2022, registering a 4.2% increase over 2021 and the daily wage earners represent the largest affected group (over 28% of cases), followed by housewives and students. The main reasons are the horrible systemic poverty, agrarian distress, family conflict. There is extreme pressure in the highly competitive education system mainly the JEE exam
