In Jhalawar, Rajasthan state, a couple - 35-year-old J.S. and 30-year-old A.K. - were murdered after entering a private hospital for a check-up.

At around 1.30pm, several criminals entered the hospital, wielding sticks laced with barbed wire. They stabbed A. to death, while they grabbed J. and started brutally beating him up with the sticks. He died shortly afterwards.

It is believed that the murder is related to a land-dispute involving J. Four people alleged to be involved in the conspiracy to kill J. and A. have been arrested.
