Watched in slo-mo and it looks like it just clipped his arm, and he ate shit in the rocks. Doesn't appear to have collided with the train or anything except the gravel. May have survived, but unlikely.

It's my understanding that when these folks get knocked off the train no one goes after the remains unless they are in settled territory where the locals hate the smell. Out in the country the bodies are allowed to feed the local critters. Guess you have to weigh your priorities. Don't expect a reverent funeral out in the countryside.
