I've known a couple of people who survived major electrocutions. One lost his entire arm; the other lost the front part of his feet. Both had internal damage.

His right arm is done. It will have to be amputated. Whether he survives depends on the path of the current. If it went through his lower viscera, it likely fried his small intestine and descending colon, which will turn necrotic in less than 12 hours and he will die in the kind of agony we can't even imagine. If it skipped that and went out his right leg, he may pull through. |

Imagine having your insides and intestines instantly cooked like sausages and relatively little other fatal injuries and lingering on for 12 more hours? I would have taken a standard fire & smoke paralyzing electrocution over that
