It is to do with the growing use of refined oils and processed food and meat .The traditional use of healthy fats "Ghee" ( Milk fat ) which is unaffordable by poor people now has been replaced with cheaper Oils, similarly traditionally people would have things like home Flour / oil mills ect is now all replaced with refined and processed ingredients.Traditional Indian simple way of living ( with addition to Yoga, meditation and Ayurveda) is now replaced with the ever increasing materialistic western influenced lifestyle is the cause of various health related issues in India. Look at the number of McD's and KFC's in India and then you wont be surprised. |
