People drown extremely fast, usually too afraid to call for help for fear of looking foolish, weak. They drown in plain view of others. Seen the aftermath too many times to count. And witnesses alway say "I didn't notice they were drowning". Take swimming lessons next time, bud.

After seeing his friend stand up in the water and it coming near his waist I have to ask; how does one drown in four feet of water? Did the chemical pollutants, feces, urine, and other toxic runoff melt his legs?

Dude was literally a mile out from the shore. No WAY he could have gotten back. No way he could have just stood up and saved himself. The water was at least 100 feet deep.  |

Right before He walked underneath the divider He droped down so The kids were most likely walking on the top of a sand bar and the divider was there in place to mark the end of the sand bar & where the water was deep
