I'm still trying to figure out how the driver didn't get run over also. He barely missed the front wheels of the truck but was falling in its direction.

As he was the one that did the mistake, he had much much faster reaction time; plus, he held the steering wheel of his motorbike to not go far. Poor passenger, he gone by his mistake.
