That would be an effective counter strategy. We have had American generals do things like that in the past and the attacks fell off to nothing.

Thats the only way Saddam kept that country together, its just a bunch of tribes that are more loyal to a tribe than any central Government.
But good old Bush figured he'd just come in, secure the oil, and waltz back out in 6 months not costing us a dime lol...... here we are 10 years and 2 trillion dollars later.
