From a tactical perspective they are being very effective. It keeps American troops off balance and is good propaganda.
Our problem is not being proactive enough and refusing to engage in effective reprisals because of our media and world opinion.

If they were in our shoes they would be wiping out the whole village of any one involved. The message would be:
IED attacks will get your whole family and village wiped off the map. You won't have a home to return to. Your wife and kids will be dead. Leave us alone and we let you and yours live. Mess with us and we kill you and all yours.
Also for every IED death line up a hundred POW's and execute them. The attacks would stop in one month. Also after executing run the bodies through a shredder with dead pigs. Mix it all together and then dump in a large landfill. They would run screaming for the borders.
That would be an effective counter strategy. We have had American generals do things like that in the past and the attacks fell off to nothing.

dude the camerman must have been shitting bricks because it seems as though he was very close by, which also makes me think that the blast was not to destructive and probably didn't kill 7 soldiers like it says it did. Might just be trying to hype their follwers up by saying they kill more :P

you're right but these fuckers play the game according to their possibilities. And we are shooting them from helicopter which is kind off the same. Going back to rlf 90's statement: bring our guys home and then there is lot's of time for them to kill each other...case closed
