Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Updates since 15 Jan - 00:30 ET New incident and emergency response records released by Minneapolis Fire Department indicate that Good sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to the chest, forearm, and head. Responders found her unresponsive at the scene on 07 January and attempted resuscitation before she was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Additional records include 911 call transcripts that describe the scene as chaotic, with conflicting reports and distress from bystanders. The United States Department of Justice confirmed that it does not intend to open a federal civil rights investigation into the shooting, while the FBI’s federal use of force investigation continues. Multiple senior officials within the DOJ Civil Rights Division have since resigned, reportedly in protest of that decision. There have been new audio and dispatch records released to the public that offer additional context about emergency response activity during the incident. These records describe communications between fire, EMS, and law enforcement assets at the scene. Local reporting and national wire service coverage show that protests, vigils, and political demonstrations continue in Minneapolis and several other cities, with many focusing on concerns about immigration enforcement, federal overreach, and use of force. President Donald Trump stated that he is considering invoking the Insurrection Act in response to escalating protests in Minnesota related to immigration enforcement. This statement has been covered by multiple international news desks as part of the broader political response to the shooting. Legislative responses have begun forming at the federal level. Texas Senator John Cornyn announced plans to introduce legislation that would increase penalties for using vehicles to assault law enforcement, citing the Minneapolis incident as context for the proposed changes. The family of Renee Good, represented by the law firm of Romanucci and Blandin, continues to push for transparency and is conducting a separate civil investigation. The firm has stated that it intends to make its findings public and believes the federal investigation lacks sufficient transparency. Media outlets have also published retrospectives and photo documentation showing protest activity, increased federal presence, and memorial events in Minneapolis over the past week. These pieces emphasize community reaction, local tension, and policy debate surrounding federal immigration enforcement. Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Compiled Summary of 911 Calls and Emergency Communications Following the Shooting of Renee Nicole Macklin Good on 07 January 2026 Shortly after the shooting on 07 January, the Minneapolis 911 center received a rapid series of calls from witnesses describing what they had just seen. The first callers reported that a woman had been shot inside a vehicle near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. One caller told dispatchers, “They just shot a lady point blank in her car,” and emphasized that federal agents were surrounding the vehicle. The caller described a chaotic scene with many armed officers present. Another caller reported that the driver had blood on her and was motionless. They told the dispatcher they were leaving the scene for safety, stating that there were “too many feds everywhere” and that people were afraid to remain nearby. The dispatcher attempted to gather details, including whether additional shots were fired. A separate call came from a person identifying themselves as communicating on behalf of Homeland Security officers. The caller said that “shots were fired” and requested local law enforcement assistance. They told dispatchers that the situation involved federal immigration enforcement officers and that they needed Minneapolis police on site immediately. Emergency communications between fire crews, EMS, and dispatch showed confusion as responders attempted to reach the vehicle. Units were directed to approach cautiously due to the large number of federal agents and the presence of agitated bystanders. Dispatchers informed fire personnel that federal officers were “holding the scene” and that access to the vehicle was restricted at first. Internal logs show emergency crews asking repeatedly whether it was safe to approach the vehicle and whether gunfire was still active. One of the 911 transcripts also included a caller saying that the crowd forming around the scene was growing increasingly distressed. A caller told dispatchers that people nearby were yelling and panicking. Dispatch instructed units to navigate around blocked roads and to be prepared for a volatile scene. Emergency dispatch logs released in the incident report show that responders were told the patient was a female with gunshot wounds and that lifesaving efforts would be needed. Fire department records indicate that by the time EMS reached Good inside the vehicle, she was unresponsive and pulseless. Resuscitation attempts were documented before she was transported to the hospital. Portions of the transcripts and logs remain redacted, particularly sections containing tactical law enforcement communication. However, all published reporting describes the same general picture: calls describing a woman shot inside her SUV, bystanders panicked and uncertain, federal agents controlling the scene, emergency responders uncertain about safe entry routes, and increasing tension as multiple agencies converged on the location. Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
I understand people want to fight ice, But how about we stop with the lies? If any cop tells you to stop, you listen or he’ll put on you the drop. If you don’t comply, you will have your family on CNN saying: “oh my- they didn’t do nothing” How about instead you live for something? A life was lost and that is always a tragedy She was a veteran mom with no allergy The name “Renee” means reborn Her family will feel her loss like a forever thorn RIP Renee. |
