Federal officials disclosed that the ICE agent who shot Good, identified as Jonathan Ross, suffered internal bleeding to his torso after the incident. ANOTHER SHOOTING (non fatal)

There was a separate federal shooting incident in Minneapolis on 14 January. In this incident, an ICE officer shot a different individual in the leg during an altercation connected to a law enforcement operation. Reporting indicates that federal officers were attempting to arrest a man who then began attacking an officer with a shovel and a broom handle. According to official statements cited in multiple outlets, the officer fired one shot to the leg in response. The injured individual survived and the injury was described as non life threatening. Several people were taken into custody following the incident.

This shooting happened several miles north of where Good was killed and was reported in the context of heightened tension, protests, and increased federal law enforcement activity in Minneapolis following the earlier shooting. It was not another fatal shooting and it does not involve the same officers or circumstances as the 7 January incident.
