Two young workers - Manish and Naveen, both in their early twenties - were killed when a hydraulic truck crane overturned whilst hoisting a generator to the third floor of a building.

Manish and Naveen were sitting atop the generator during the lift when the crane toppled, throwing the men onto the concrete road below. Both victims suffered severe head injuries and were pronounced dead on arrival. Two electricity poles were uprooted in the accident.

The crane toppled due to the extra weight of the two passengers riding on top of the generator. Cranes are not elevators.
