I can't even begin to imagine the kind of agony that poor bastard is in. At that point I'd hope someone would administer a lethal amount of morphine and end my suffering.

I think we need to stop using that shit for both killing civilians in war and making electricity when we are not exterminating cities.

Very simplistic thinking. Nuclear power is actually very clean and eventually we will switch to Nuclear fusion. Everything has risks of course, but to the simple the word nuclear is automatically scary.

Read it a couple of nights ago, and I agree. Very good book, but I still feel a bit off. I found it interesting and depressing in almost equal measures. I've seen so many horible videos/pictures and read so much about horrible stuff going on in the world for many many years now, but this case has stirred up a concoction of emotions I've never experienced before. I can't imagine a worse way to go even if I think long and hard.
